SSTC ’08 - Call for Papers

SSTC ‘08 will be a truly international software testing conference, attracting speakers from around the world.  The aim is to bring together leading thinkers and communicators in the discipline. We invite you to join us to bring your insights into this exciting and challenging area of IT.

The theme of the conference is software testing and how it can be influenced by standardization. Submissions are invited on topics covering all aspects of software testing.  Those that demonstrate software testing in practice are especially encouraged.

The conference will comprise of track sessions and a panel discussion on the conference theme.  The panel discussion shall be facilitated to take into account participants across all levels of experience, from novice to expert.  Each accepted speaker will deliver either a 50 minute track session at the conference or participate in the panel discussion, or both.

Speaker Benefits

Each accepted speaker will receive:

·   a complementary conference registration;

·   up to US$ 600;

·   2 night’s accommodation (US$ 300) in a middle-upper class hotel or equivalent residence (excluding meals).

Important dates

Intial submission:                 25^th August, 2008 (see details below).
Notification of acceptance:  8^th September, 2008.
Complete presentation        8^th October, 2008.
Conference:                         7^th November, 2008

Initial Submission

The initial submission (in MS Word) should comprise:

·   an abstract of no more than 300 words describing their track session (or their position on conference theme if the speaker is putting themselves forward for the panel discussion);

·   a short biography of no more than 200 words;

·   contact details.

Complete Presentation

The final presentation should be provided in MS PowerPoint and comprise no more than 30 slides.  A track session shall last 50 minutes, with 40 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for answering questions.

Supporting papers are encouraged, but are optional.  These papers should be provided as a MS Word document of no more than 12 pages in total in a minimum 11 pt Times Roman font.
